Providing Support for Veterans and First Responders in the Sarasota/Tampa Area
September is Suicide Prevention Month, and we are dedicated to providing support for veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD. In collaboration with Top Tier K9, we have 7 Foundation Dogs® available for 7 deserving Veterans or First Responders with PTSD in the Sarasota/Tampa area. Our goal is to offer companionship and assistance through our trained service dogs, giving those in need a new sense of purpose and support.
Our Foundation Dogs® have been specially trained to provide emotional support, comfort, and assistance to individuals struggling with PTSD. These dogs are not only loving companions but also highly skilled in recognizing signs of distress and providing a sense of security to their handlers. By pairing these dogs with veterans and first responders in need, we aim to help alleviate symptoms of PTSD and improve overall well-being.
In addition to providing our Foundation Dogs®, we also offer handler training to ensure that both the dog and their new owner can form a strong bond and work effectively together. Our training program focuses on building trust, communication, and teamwork between the handler and their service dog. Through this process, individuals can learn how to better care for their furry companion while also receiving emotional support from their loyal friend.
