Are you retired First Responder with a Veteran background looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? If so, we would love to have you be part of our volunteer Handler Training Program in the Sarasota, Florida area. At Canines For Heroes, we believe that your background, expertise, and maturity can make a significant impact on our program and the recipients we serve. Our coordinated Handler training has been instrumental in the long-term success of our service dog recipients, and we are always looking for dedicated individuals like you to join our team.
Why so specific? We have grown this program with professional training and hands-on experience through thick and thin since 2016. As a retired First Responder with a Veteran background, you bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the table that can greatly benefit our program. Your understanding of crisis situations, ability to remain calm under pressure, and strong leadership qualities are all valuable assets when working with our highly trained service dogs.
